About me

I started this blog in order to keep track of my ideas and to be able to share what I find across the web; I get a lot of ideas and I felt that I need a place where I can write them down and share. So here we are now.

But who am I?

I write entirely to find out what I’m thinking, what I’m looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear. – Joan Didion

There is not that much to say about me, I am a student that is interested in Human sciences and sociology. I finished my Bachelor´s in Sciences of Education in Luxembourg and I am now trying to write my thesis about children´s play for a Master program in Learning and Development in Multilingual and Multicultural Environments (ya quite a long name, I know). Well I grew up in Luxembourg and I would describe myself as a gamer, as a child I played a lot of Nintendo games with my dad and until now I still enjoy playing video games. I got into card games like for example Magic The Gathering some 10 years ago and expanded too other card and board games; this might explain my interest in play and gaming.

As someone who is a trained teacher I really like to share my ideas and try to learn from others as much as I can. I think there are a lot of great bloggers out there, most of them are better writers, thinkers and researchers as I am, but this should not be a barrier for me to get into the wild blogosphere of the Interwebs. Often times I comment on things I read, saw or thought about in order to provoke a thinking process or to organize my own ideas.

Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go. – E.L. Doctorow

Maybe this is what I am doing, but I would like to keep track of my path and maybe guide your way as well. Think of this blog not as an answer – I am sure you´ll find those on other places – but as a question.

I hope you enjoy what I have to offer, whoever you are.

Joel
